Net::Amazon is a perl module to interface to Amazon's web services API. Unfortunately it doesn't like using a web proxy. You can fix this by modifying Amazon.pm line 262:

my $ua = LWP::UserAgent->new(env_proxy => (exists $self->{env_proxy} ? $self->{env_proxy} : 0));

(Yeah, it's a bit ugly, but it works!)

Update: The module's auther has included an equivalent fix in the next version (0.25). I love open source.
