Spam filtering

Here's an interesting way to do spam filtering using Bayes Theorem.

This page describes how to use procmail and ifile to teach the filter what legitimate email looks like, and then filter incoming email based on that knowledge. I haven't used it enough yet to see if it's any better than SpamAssassin.
