That was great! The only disappointment is that there won't be another Lord of the Rings film in 11 months' time.

So anyway, onto details:

• No scouring of the shire. No bad thing, it would have made the story even longer.
• Lots of battle scenes, lots of action scenes, maybe not enough long shots to show the scale of the battle.
• Denethor is terrifyingly lunatic. Lovely.

When's the DVD coming out?
